Art Therapy Process

 

Choose a favourite item of head wear

The session commenced with a warm up process of individuals bringing items of headwear.  Wearing and sharing the hat.

The story (narrative) the image that comes up - and using the mandala as the container for art medium expression.

The expression and meaning for this mandala belongs to the individual that presented it.  The image represents that at that moment on that day this was the sense felt.  

 

 

Expression

Frustration and anger. After a misunderstanding between two people in a relationship. The opportunity to express the energy within the containment of the mandala using whatever art mediums at hand. This is one of a series of mandalas using black ink. The principle of working with the mandala is to create an image as a process of thought. Being in the moment, mindfulness.

Dreams come true with small achievable goals set in place.

The theme from ''illustration friday'' this week is ''linked''. I chose to present this as a mandala, as this was my first reaction to the word and I quickly expressed it within the confines of the circles. I depicted the links to other small circles and am pleased with what I came up with and what it meant for me. I am also pleased to introduce you to my new mandala blogspot.
